You are sent into this world to believe in yourself as God’s chosen one and then to help your brothers and sisters know that they also are beloved sons and daughters of God who belong together. -Henri Nouwen
“Last weekend was a unique experience and blessing for me. I will never be the same! The experience was filled with a lack of judgment from others and camaraderie that left me feeling renewed. I am living with a longing to be with my new tribe of brothers and a realization of the miles between us.
Our group was mixed with experienced campers and individuals who could not start a fire with a blowtorch. I can’t remember the last group of people who were of one mind, body, and spirit- even though they were different opinions and perspectives. The most important aspect of the trip was that hands were held high, and praises were lifted to the one and only God of our lives. We experienced seeds of breakthrough and chains of burden being broken. I am a better man, citizen, and servant. I also feel like a better husband!
I appreciate and will carry with me the reflections and vulnerabilities shared in this setting. My lips are sealed, and my heart is open. The childlike experience of connecting with God in nature brings me comfort and peace. Proper hygiene as a secondary concern. Lol!!!
What does this mean for the future? It means everything to my family and me. I will never let go of His Pursuit.”

And so, it begins! What a joy to be with the seven men who joined us from parts of North Carolina and Virginia. As Winston stated, the transformative work God began in each man’s heart was more than we could have imagined. Everyone was asking, “When is the next one? I have men I need to invite”. We will be spending time over the next several weeks putting together a calendar of his pursuit adventures for 2023. Who knows where the spirit will lead?
Next stop, The Adirondacks near Saranac Lake, NY. A dear friend of mine invited me to bring the His Pursuit message to his Men Alive ADK Expedition over Columbus Day weekend. Only a few days from now! I would be very grateful for your prayers as I prepare to travel north and engage the men over that weekend.
We are grateful to God for all of who you are to us and the vocational ministry He has engaged us in together for more than 30 years. Thank you so much!
Yours in Christ,
Patrick and Jamie
