“You are sent into this world to believe in yourself as God’s chosen one and then to help your brothers and sisters know that they also are beloved sons and daughters of God who belong together.”
– Henri Nouwen

His Pursuit is an invitation to live differently

Every human is a spiritual being. We have longings, desires and a need to belong. From the beginning, we were meant to live in community – with God and with each other. What does community and brotherhood look like for a man? Beyond Bible studies and retreats, what’s vital for men to be in community with other men?

It’s About Community

His Pursuit invites each individual into a journey of living life with God and with others. And even though life is lived in the day-to-day, our settings for community intentionally engage people away from the noise of life to hear more vividly from God in an encounter with his creation.

We are Adopted in the Family of God

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.

Ephesians 1:4-5

Who am I?

We live in an under-fathered and fatherless culture. As a boy matures into manhood, his often unanswered question is: Who am I? In response to this reality, His Pursuit focuses on engaging men –as well as dads with their sons – in teaching and small group interaction, through outdoor experiences and in local communities. We utilize resources created for His Pursuit and from other sources as an invitation into this journey of discovery with God, as well as follow up after the outdoor experiences.

An Invitation

We provide experiences and resources inviting people into a lifetime pursuit with the Father who created us for his glory and pleasure. Then the Spirit of God can work through them to stir up fires of community in homes, churches and towns across the country.

No Man Lives Fatherless

We recognize that today’s young people are living under-fathered or fatherless lives. Especially for men, this affects who we are and who we are becoming in this journey toward manhood. In today’s culture, this not only impacts the individual but also the family, our communities, our society, and especially our relationship to God.

Journey of Experiencing God

His Pursuit invites men into a journey of experiencing God as Father and living as His beloved sons. We provide resources, mentoring and coaching to encourage men to engage this journey in community with others. And we offer outdoor adventures to create an environment for men to encounter God in the wildness of His creation.

Men's Adventures

We live in a noisy, demanding culture. Not all bad, but very distracting and filled with expectations. Sadly, our identity as men can get lost in the noise, distractions and expectations.

Come join us for time away from the noise of life in the beauty of God’s creation, to explore with curiosity the questions – Who am I? What does it mean that God is my Father?
In the company of a small community of men, we will be invited to explore who we are as God’s beloved sons. There will be time for interaction, reflection and fun!

Over the past 30 years, God has given me hundreds of opportunities to engage men and women – from teenagers to moms and dads – in their relationships with Him. Out of those experiences, He has cultivated a passion in our hearts to invite people into an intimate walk with their heavenly Father. Through small groups, day retreats, and outdoor experiences, we engage men and women relationally in their pursuit of God as Savior, Father and Friend. Additionally, we work with other ministries to teach and help facilitate similar experiences in their environments.

    Thank you for giving!
